The Longshot Revisted

About 2 months a go we put out a Longshot that we named "The Zambie Blood Striped Longshot." Well the owner wanted an OMW Immortal kit in it, so this is now what we have:

  • Same Longshot
  • Blocked stock (locked into back position, can be reversed)
  • OMW Immortal Kit (WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND)
  • OMW "Pre-Order-200%-Size" priming handle integrated into the forward pump
  • 1 hand primable
  • Incredible range and power

"Zambie Blood Striped" Pumpgrip Longshot

One of the more powerful Longshots to come out of JSI, I present the "Zambie Blood Striped" Pumpgrip Longshot. Pretty standard internals/externals and the new Elite dart jamming fix that I came up with (check out NerfHaven or any of the blogs we're on for that one). Has a pretty nice bandit-style red & black tiger striping paintjob too.

Specs:
  • Red & Black Bandit-style tiger stripe paintjob
  • Basic Internals (+ LS Elite jam fix)
  • Spring upgrade
  • PVC/Aluminum JSI Pumpgrip

Longshot Pumpgrip w/ Picatinny Foregrip

Just finished this commission. The buyer wanted a pumpgrip that utilized a tactical foregrip (not to be confused with "tacticool" Nerf gear). After shelling out some ideas, this was invented. Very nice, but a little more expensive than a standard grip, since you're paying for an airsoft grip and a metal picatinny rail mount section.

Specs:
  • Standard PVC shell grip
  • Aluminum connecting bars
  • Picatinny rail mounted on bottom of PVC shell
  • Tactical Airsoft "Weaver Rail" Grip

  • 8kg effective double spring
  • Basic internals

Retaliator: Pumpgrip Shotgun

The only thing I can say about this gun is that I don't want to give it up. It threw me for a few loops during production, but I love the way it came out.

An inverted Recon shell and pump under the barrel serves as a forward grip connected by aluminum bars to the regular top grip. The forward recon shell still has the front hole, so a flashlight can be inserted.

Specs:
  • Black/Blue paintjob
  • Custom underbarrel pumpgrip
  • 5 kg spring upgrade
  • Basic Elite internals (catch, lube, ARs, o-ring)
  • Ranges: ~65-75' PTG (Elites), ~50-60' PTG (Streamlines)

"Badass and Black" Longshot

The first commission we've churned out this year is a nice little Longshot. Not much to say other than the breakdown, so let's jump in.

  • Integrated PVC/aluminum pumpgrip
  • Basic internals
  • Double spring (Stock + BBB)
  • Boltsled reinforcement
  • General badassery

Longshot Pumpgrips (New commissions available)

Recently I was commissioned to make a longshot pumpgrip that met 2 conditions: it could fit over a LS with no shell modification, and it was cheap.

Here's what I cam up with: a variation on SGNerf's pvc pumpgrip.

As you can see, it looks kinda unwieldy, but it works fine and my small hands can grip it fine. It also fits over a stock LS with removed bipods just fine (SGNerf can fit thinwall pvc over the bipods; thinwall pvc is very uncommon in my area). The pvc arm bars can (supposedly) withstand spring tensions of 14kg and upward. Other than that, I can churn these out for $15.

The JSI (NerfNerds-style inspired) pumpgrip that I use on my own LS, however, is slightly better in my own opinion.

As you can see, it requires a bit of modification to the front of the LS; the bipods CANNOT be reattached, and there is also a gaping hole in the shell (which can be patched). The upside is that the pvc is the same width as the LS shell, and fits quite nicely. Also, the metal brackets are very strong and can stand up to pretty high spring force. I can make these for about $20 - $25 (depending on where I can source parts).

Both designs use a #8 threaded bolt with nylon spacers to connect to the bolt sled.

So, in conclusion:
  • SGNerf PVC LS Pumpgrip: $15
  • JSI/NN PVC/metal Pumpgrip: $20-25
